"You don't have to play on 'tear-stained' violin"
I’ve played violin for 60 years. My 9 year old granddaughter plays violin and loves it.
I like to tell my students that I grew up with a tear-stained violin. There are ways to overcome the frustrations of playing violin. I’ve worked through all of them – hence the “tear-stained” reference.
My background in traditional and Suzuki training allows me to blend the two into a unique method, which allows student and teacher to utilize the techniques that will most benefit the student.
Study with me and we’ll play duets. I also do some accompanying on the piano for my students. It’s a great way to feel the music.
My educational experience includes the Music Program at Indiana University, acceptance into the Masters Program, and completion of the Suzuki Institute at the University of Miami, becoming a certified Suzuki instructor.
Currently I play in the Sunrise, Hallendale, and Coral Springs Symphonic Pops, as well as the New River Orchestra. I also do solo and ensemble work for various area churches. In addition, I am available to play at weddings, receptions, and special events.
